For the second time, I haven’t been very good at continuing my Legacy Challenge story. I just haven’t been playing The Sims 3 as much these last few months as I would have liked. I haven’t quite given up on the idea of this blog yet, but unfortunately a required reformatting of my computer means the Legacy family that was the focus of this story has disappeared into electronic heaven.
Perhaps I’ll be back (maybe even shortly) with a new idea and new stories for you.

“What is a Legacy Challenge”
Well, The Sims 3 Legacy Challenge is a long, 10-generation challenge where you start out with a single founder and very humble beginnings and try to lead the family to fame, fortune and success over the course of 10 generations. The challenge has launched thousands of rabid Simmers into years of creating fun, wild stories about their attempts to meet the challenge of building a ten generation family legacy.
The Legacy Challenge was created by the Simmer named “Pinstar1161″ for The Sims 2 and he has recreated the challenge and adapted the rules for the release of The Sims 3. Pinstar’s webiste www.legacychallenge.com will tell you more about The Sims 2 version of The Legacy Challenge. Unfortunately, as of today it has not yet been updated with the rules for The Sims 3, but those rules can be found on The Sims 3 Forums.
